Danielle Sutton

Horticulturalist and Director

Danielle Sutton grew up in a bushland suburb of northern Sydney where she was influenced and mentored by family who were keen and successful gardeners. She received her horticulture qualifications from Ryde TAFE in 1991 and has been a busy practicing horticulturalist ever since. She also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Natural Resource Management.

Danielle has worked for garden maintenance services, retail and wholesale nurseries, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service as well as for two local councils managing their maintenance, horticulture and bush regeneration teams.

During her time with local government, Danielle managed one of Sydney's largest Bushcare volunteer and environmental education programs for the wider community, which included workshops, guided bush walks and seminars.

Danielle has a strong background in native and ornamental plants, plant identification, and pest and disease diagnostics.

From her bush regeneration experience, she has recognised expertise in local native plants and their communities and in weed management.

Danielle is passionate about gardening and sharing her expertise in a relaxed, engaging way so more people can experience the joys of gardening.
